LINCS QUEST REPORT - MAY 2005
Lincs Quest has enjoyed another successful six months. The
membership has finally gone over the 20 barrier to 21 and hopefully, we can
continue to build on this. Attendance has been steady at Group nights.
Financially, we are sound and have been able to subsidise the
Group's Second Birthday Party at the meeting night and the Christmas Meal.
We have managed to produce full programmes, changing from a
4-monthly to a 3-monthly format. Most events have taken place as scheduled. As
a group we were represented at the three Area events, which have taken place -
the Christmas Dance,
Badminton
Competition and
Valentines
Dance.
The Publicity Officer has continued to submit articles to the
local press, has appeared on local radio and has set up a Web Site
http://beehive.thisisgrimsby.co.uk/lincsquest, which is
updated regularly. This is linked to the
Northern
Area Web Site.
The Committee
has worked well together and the last Bi-Annual General Meeting has seen the
same members elected. We are hoping to encourage other members to be more
actively involved.
For the future, we would like to see a rise in membership and a
greater involvement by members in joining the Committee. We welcome the
continuation of the second tier groups under the Area Lead option.
