The main aim of e-chat is as a way for me to let you know of Group, Area and National happenings as quickly as possible. It is not a replacement for the Bulk Posting which Groups will receive shortly.

Hopefully it can work both ways. Please let me know of anything you want to find out or pass on to other Groups.

Area scale events

Rothwell Group have asked that their Easter Bunk Barn Holiday be included in the Area Activities diary. Every Northern Group should have received their copy of the details. Looks like a good event, I've booked!

Valentines Disco

Thanks to Bradford Group for organizing this event. I'd also like to thank Elaine Anderson, Karen Chaplin and Mick King for donating raffle prizes.

There was a good atmosphere and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves, the next Area Disco is planned to be after the Area Conference on Saturday May 22nd in Huddersfield.

N.B. The Area Conference has been changed to Sunday 23rd May followed by a Chinese Buffet, in Manchester.

It was nice to see Adrian Barnard our NEO and Tina Bunyan, Southern Area Chair who came all the way from Didcot.

Area Committee Meeting / Open Forum

On Sunday May 2nd between 1 o clock and 5 o clock there's a Northern Area 18 Plus Committee Meeting & Open Forum. The venue is The Albert Hotel in Huddersfield where the November Area Conference was held.

The meeting is mainly an Area Committee meeting but all members who are interested in 18 Plus in the Northern Area are invited. We're always looking for new ideas and additional hands to help, especially with Area scale events.

Please note, at the May Conference, all Committee positions are up for renewal: if anyone wishes to consider having a go at any of the Area positions, please let me know.

Levies

All Groups should have received their invoices for National levies, I'd be grateful if Groups could return payment as soon as possible. Please return them to me at the address below as Dave Orsler (Area Treasurer) will be out of circulation for a while.
