Stockport Eighteen Plus members competed in the Northern Area 5-a-side football competition, held this year in Holmfirth in Yorkshire and came a very creditable fourth place.
Eighteen plus members even came from places as far afield as Grimsby to take part in the competition. As the aim of Eighteen Plus is to encourage everyone to take part in all the activities, one of the rules of the competition was that each team should include at least one female. Everyone, including or in some cases especially, the girls enjoyed the competition and the presentation disco held that evening.
