National 18 Plus Spring Time Holiday Hi campers.
Tony and myself, together with the management & staff of Brean Leisure Park hope everyone enjoyed themselves during the National 18 Plus Spring Time Holiday weekend.
This Web Page gives details of what was on offer over the weekend. We feel that we put together some excellent entertainment, and it is hoped that everyone had fun, let their hair down. and celebrated our Diamond Jubilee year in style.
A raffle took place with the surplus proceeds raised going to St. Johns Ambulance who provided first aid cover on Saturday and Sunday evenings.
Thanks to Brean Leisure Park for all their help and support, we would particulatly like to thank Alex Ferguson for his help in gettingthis new 18 Plus Holiday started.
We would also offer our thanks to those 18 Plus members who gave us a helping hand, we are very grateful.

Huddersfield 18 Plus at
On Friday March 30th I left Huddersfield Railway Station on the 9.13am to Manchester Picadilly Railway Station where I would change Trains for the 10.17am to Sandbach.
When I arrived in Manchester there were a few minutes to go before my connection, so I decided to go for a bacon sandwich for breakfast, I arrived at the platform just as the Train was leaving. What a Fool!
Luckily there was another connection shortly afterwards, but changing at Manchester Airport, and I was able to contact Dave Orsler by cell phone to let him know that I`d be delayed.
On arrival at Sandbach, it was into Dave`s car and off to Weston-Super-Mare. We arrived before the reception was open, (having missed the diversion due to bridge repairs that seemed to catch so many).
The opening of the 18 Plus reception was delayed due to an I.T. problem, so I had a few games of Pool, all of which I lost!
After booking in we went to out respective caravans to unpack and claim a bed. I shared with Brentwood 18 Plus Group and Coventry Group member, Mike Sutton on the Unity Farm site.
Mike and I went to the venue for our evening meal, and then to the evening`s entertainment D.J. Lionel Adrian and "Broad Street". During the evening I was adopted by Hounslow Group as there weren`t many Northern members present.
On Saturday morning It was round to Hounslow Group`s caravan for a game of Monopoly before heading off to the venue for the afternoon Comedy Show. There was a Pop Music Quiz following the Comedy Show in which Hounslow Group entered a team. I decided to have a walk along the beech, I met a couple of Coventry 18 Plus members and we walked back together along the dyke by the river.
After getting changed for the evening`s entertainment I went for a much needed evening meal at the venue. The evening`s live music was provided by "The Deck Chairs".
After the Disco a Party was held at Hounslow`s caravan, (there were other Parties on the main site, but it was a fair walk over there!). The highlight of the Party was a strip tease by Ian and Juliet, (Say no more!).
On Sunday we visited the helicopter museum at Weston-Super-Mare, we saw the worlds oldest helicopter, the fastest helicopter, the Queen`s helicopter and the smallest helicopter, we also learned a little about the history of the helicopter, well worth a visit.
After leaving the helicopter museum we met up with other Hounslow Group members at Weston-Super-Mare and returned to camp.
The evening`s entertainment, the band "Intrigue", reminded me of "The Mike Sammes Singers", anyone remember them? The raffle was also drawn later, no luck there!
Afterwards there was an invitation only Party at Bromsgrove Group`s caravan, there was a small buffet and a birthday cake was presented for the new 18 Plus Group which has just been born.
Monday: back home, thanks to Dave Orsler for giving me a lift.
