| War of the
Roses |
Battle commences on Sunday 12th September at the Avondale
Leisue Centre, Edgley Stockport. Signing in will be at 12:30 p.m. and the
millennium fun & games will start at 1:00 p.m.
?There are excellent
shower and changing facilities and refreshments will be available.
The cost
is £10 per team (up to four per team please). Remember to bring your
Joker/Mascot dressed as a famous person from the last 1000 years.

National
Karting
Championships 1999 |
Ths will be held at the "Karting for fun" race track in
Aldershot on Sunday 19th September, assemble for 11:30 a.m.
£38
before August 20th £40 afterwards. No bookings can be accepted after
September 2nd.

Member's Night |
Stockport Group are holding a New Member's Night on Tuesday
September 21st from 9:30 p.m. onwards.
Everyone is invited to attend and
support the Group.
Stockport are Group of the Month in the Footsore
Competition.

Saturday 30th October. Hopefully with the undead in Leeds -

|
The booking forms are out now and should be on your Group
notice board.

Disco |
Which should hopefully include the Darts Competition.
This will be on Saturday 13th November.

| Area Conference
|
To be held on Sunday afternnon, 14th November. Yes, the day
after Rothwell's Disco. At least the AEC will be too hungover to argue
back!

| Sandcastles '99
|
The Grimsby & Cleethorpes Sandcastles Competition
followed by Disco will be held on Saturday 25th September. Why not make a
weekend of it? There's great Saturday night accommodation available at bargain
prices.
Assemble near the Leisure Centre at 1:30 p.m. for the great dig.
You can begin your masterpiece at 2 p.m.
You have two hours to complete the
marvelous sculpture. You must bring your own tools, though sand is provided!
Please bear in mind that the local Council does frown upon JCBs on the
beach.
At 4 p.m. a team of artistic judges mark the effortsbefore they are
smoothed away after the pictures have been taken.
There is then time to
sample the various establishments etc in this delightful seaside resort before
heading to the Cromwell Banquetting Suite for the party.
Tickets are
£4 after 1st September. A prize ticket draw is included. The do finishes
at 12:30 a.m. Don't forget to bring your membership card or you'll have to pay
£1 extra.

Northwich 18 Plus Group are currently holding meetings at
Witton Albion Football Club, off Chapel Lane, Woncham, Northwich, this may
become permanent.
Grimsby & Cleethorpes 18 Plus Group now meet at The
Lifeboat Hotel, The Promenade, Cleethorpes.
Don't forget: If your Group
changes it's venue or meeting time, please let Bridget know as soon as
possible.

the Editorial Team for an Area Magazine. Please contact Russell for
