Activities Officer still required

Christmas Disco
The Area Christmas Disco will be held on Saturday 11th December at the Wheatsheaf Pub Church Street Littleborough (near Rochdale) between 8 p.m. and midnight.
Admission is 3£ with membership and £4 without.
Please encourage as many members as possible to attend what will be a really good night.
Publicity and Development
As Publicity Officer I am looking for anyone that can help with the planning of the new Groups. These are being planned in the York, Scunthorpe, Wigan/Liverpool, Staffordshire and Preston areas. I am hoping that people from the local areas will will help in the ruunning of the Group, rather than ourselves doing this.

What I would like is if anyone can provide help in the following:

  • Designing a poster
  • Designing a leaflet
  • Finding Council contacts
  • Finding a venue for an interest meeting
  • Finding anywhere we can advertise
If you can help, no matter how little, please contact me.

Bi-AGM info
As soon as you have held your Bi-AGM, please fill in the forms in your current Directory and return one to the Office in Newent and on to Bridget, the Area Administrator.
If you have lost your Directory, please copy out all your venue and Committee details and forward instead.
Even if your details haven't changed, still inform the Office and Bridget.

A set of simple accounts (audited by a competant person) should be presented at your Bi-AGM and a copy sent to Russell, the Area Treasurer.
Need any advice? Contact Russell.
Outstanding Levies
Please pay up as soon as possible. Remittances to Russell please.
Don't forget !
If you want a paragraph putting in the next newsletter (out at the end of December) or posters, event letters, maps, etc. (25 of each are needed), please let Simon have them by the 28th December at the latest.

Finally, a big "Happy Christmas!" from all the AEC, see you at the Christmas Disco.
Area Forum
The next Area Forum will be held on Saturday 12th February 2000 in the afternoon prior to the Valentines Disco at the Romiley Centre.
One of the topics for (informal) discussion will be the scrapping of the North-West and Yorkshire Regions at the following Area Conference in May. Please attend and have your say in the matter. Could you also discuss this topic amongst your Group members and help us gauge the strength of feeling for or against such a move.
Temporary Co-ordinator
As temporary Co-ordinator for the North-West Region I need the Groups to give me some ideas as to what they want to happen over the next couple of months. I would also like to check that you all meet at the same venue.

I am hoping to be able to visit some, if not all, of the Groups as soon as possible, depending on when I can drive again. In the mean time I will try and contact the Groups individually.

Valentines Disco
This has been booked for Saturday 12th February 2000 at the Romiley Centre, Romiley, Stockport (last year's venue).

Further details will follow in the new year.

The Area Forum will be held in the same venue that afternoon.
On the move!
Grimsby & Cleethorpes 18 Plus Group now meet at the Oberon, King Edward Street, Grimsby.

Northwich 18 Plus Group now meet at Witton Albion Football Club, off Chapel Lane, Woncham, Northwich.
