Footsores
As from the beginning of July, groups may only claim footsore points for visiting a particular group once per month e.g. Huddersfield may visit Bradford each Wednesday, but only be able to claim footsore points for one of these visits. This is to encourage groups to visit different groups and encourage more mixing! Remember to take a car load on group nights to claim points. Send completed footsore forms to Ellie. No soggy beermats please!

Groups of the month for August are Cheadle and Bradford.
Northern Area Magazine
The AEC would like to hear from anyone who fancies leading the editorial team for an Area Magazine. Please contact Russell for more details.

Sandcastles '99
The Grimsby & Cleethorpes Sand Sculpture Competition followed by disco will be held on Saturday 25th September. Why not make a weekend of it? There's great Saturday night accommodation available at bargain prices. Assemble near the Leisure Centre at 1.30 p.m. for the great dig. You can begin your masterpiece at 2 p.m.. You have 2 hours to complete the marvellous sculpture. You must bring your own tools, but sand is provided! Please remember though, the local Council does frown upon JCB's on the beach. At 4 p.m. a team of artistic judges mark the efforts and they are smoothed away (ahh!) after the pictures have been taken. There is then time to sample the various cafes, etc in this delightful seaside resort before heading to the Cromwell Banqueting Suite for the party. Tickets are £3.50 before 1 September and £4 after that. A prize ticket draw is included. The do finishes at 12.30 a.m. Don't forget your membership card or you'll have to pay £1 extra.
