This Northern Area 18 Plus Activities Forum.took place on Sunday July 31st between 2:30 and 4:30 at O'Neills in Leeds. This was the same venue as the May 2005 Conference and various other Northern Area 18 Plus events.
All Northern Area 18 Plus members were invited to the Northern Area 18 Plus Activities Forum and Groups were asked to send two delegates as there was a vote on the new Activities Policy for Northern Area 18 Plus.
The main aim of the event was to ratify the new policy / rules for Area and Area scale events as discussed at the May Area Conference this was carried unanimously. There was also an open forum where anything relating to 18 Plus activities was discussed.
There was a lively discussion on the new Activities Policy; a register of attendance will be introduced for all Area ans Area scale events. This will allow us to calculate the points for the Linda Street Trophy, monitor membership attendance and be useful for fire and insurance regulations.
A similar system is in operation in the Midland Area.
Future events were discussed, and thanks to the welcome attendance of Lincs Quest members the Groups were invited to two Lincs Quest events; Cleethorpes Annual Beach Party and a Ghost Hunt in Lincoln.
Rothwell 18 Plus Group also announced their annual Ten Pin Bowling competition and Haloween Disco.
