The main aim of e-chat is as a way for me to let you know of Group, Area and National happenings as quickly as possible. It is not a replacement for the Bulk Posting which Groups will receive shortly.

Hopefully it can work both ways. Please let me know of anything you want to find out or pass on to other Groups.

Area scale events

Rothwell Group have asked that their Easter Bunk Barn Holiday be included in the Area Activities diary. I understand that the Derbyshire Peak District is this year's choice. More details will be released as they become available.

Christmas Disco 2003

Hope everyone who attended had a good time at the Christmas Disco at The Gateway, Parrs Wood near Didsbury.

Thanks to D.J. for the event Rick Brown and his assistant Simon Frith. I'd also like to thank Elaine Anderson and Karen Chaplin who donated some great raffle prizes for the occasion.

Northern Night Out 2004 - Leeds

Where:	Wetherspoons, Leeds Railway Station - start
When:	Saturday 17th jANUARY 2004 7:30 p.m. start
Cost:	Meal - £10 approx

This is something new for Northern Area 18 Plus, it was suggested at the Area Conference in November that we organize special nights out in Leeds and Manchester, these locations are relatively easy to get to and from by public transport and are "happening" places entertainment wise.

First up is Leeds on January 17th 2004. The meeting place will be Wetherspoons at Leeds railway station at 7:30, then on to Maxi's Express in The Light for a Chinese buffet (8:00) after the meal a bit of a pub crawl starting at Edwards in the Merrion Centre (9:00) then off clubbin' at the Bondi Beech night club.

I'd be grateful if Groups could let me know roughly how many people wish to go for the Chinese Buffet (by phone, e-mail or text) as the restaurant will need to know this.
